7th and 8th Math and Science

NOTES:  1.  Spirit Wear orders are due on Monday. Forms were sent home Friday with students.

               2.  Half Day on Wednesday, No School Thursday and Friday due to Thanksgiving.   I hope and pray that you have much to be thankful for and are able to enjoy time with family and friends.

            3.  Christmas Program is December 2.  Please bring a non-perishable food item to the concert as an thank offering if you "can". 

    Science

Monday 24  We will do a lab today that helps us understand how different igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks are formed.  
                ASSIGNMENT:  Lab Report Due tomorrow
                                    Study for quiz Wednesday over Chapter 4.  

Tuesday 25  We will finish our notes on metamorphic rocks and learn about the rock cycle.
               ASSIGNMENT:  Study for quiz over rocks

Wednesday 26: Quiz over rocks

Thursday: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!   Friday:  NO SCHOOL

Math

Monday 24:  All students will work together at multiplying and dividing mixed numbers.    ASSIGNMENT: Students will complete a worksheet.

Tuesday 25:

• 7th:  We will work on reading charts and graphs to interpret data.
                    ASSIGNMENT:  PS 38 (pg 230) a-d, 1-8, 10-30 (even)
• 8th: We will complete lesson 45 as students review the division rule for solving equations.
                  ASSIGNEMENT: PS 45 (pg 130) a-c, 8-25             

Wednesday 26:  All students will work on a Thanksgiving problem solving worksheet.  When students have completed this we will do another Thanksgiving activity.
